An American Revolutionary War manuscript map of the Battle of Monmouth fought on June 28, 1778, north of Englishtown, New Jersey, between the Continental Army of General Washington and the British led by General Clinton. Carte de l’affaire de Montmouth, was one of a series of maps, hand-drawn by Captain Michel Capitaine du Chesnoy, who served as Marquis de Lafayette’s cartographer during the American Revolutionary War.
