$155

Brand: Battlemaps.us

A beautiful reproduction of John Trumbull's oil painting depicting General George Washington on the evening of the Second Battle of Trenton. Washington is looking at the bridge over the Assunpink Creek and nearby mill. The campfires of the Army can be seen in distance. Completed in 1792 for the city of Charleston to commemorate Washington's visit to the city. However, the city rejected the painting and the artist painted another version with a different background.

The print is Gallery Wrap ready. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides of the stretcher bar and is secured to the back of the wooden frame.
