American Revolutionary War map of the Battle of Barren Hill (Lafayette Hill), Pennsylvania in 1778. Map title [EN]: A plan of retreat from Barren Hill, Pennsylvania, or a detachment of two thousand and two hundred (2,200) men under General Lafayette, engaged by the English Army under Howe, Clinton and Grant on 20 May, 1778. The plan was hand-drawn in pen-and-ink by Captain Michel Capitaine du Chesnoy, who served as General Lafayette’s cartographer during the American Revolutionary War.
