Plan of the City of New York in North America, surveyed in the years 1766 & 1767, is Bernard Ratzer’s most famous map. It is also the most famous map of New York City ever produced. This particular reproduction features the southern (Brooklyn) half of the large-scale plan, the lower portion of which displays proninently a southwest panoramic view of the city from Governors Island. (Manhattan, the northern half is also available in our collection; the full set is also available framed, as well as unframed. The latter is shown below for demonstration purposes in the last product image.)
